The hub of our travel is done throughout the UK, exploring the arrival of Christianity to these shores, following in the footsteps of the early Saints and visiting the sites associated with them.

In the North East of England we explore Aidan, Cuthbert and Bede and see how they struggled to bring the message of the Gospel into the pagan world of Northumbria. We visit sites as celebrated as Holy Island, as grand as Durham Cathedral, resting place of the Venerable Bede, or as remote and quiet as the Parish Church of Lastingham, where we pause for silence in the crypt where St.Cedd lies.

Many of our journeys take us through Scotland, to the historical Island of Iona, where we hear about St. Columba, the most spectacular of the Scottish Saints who founded his monastery there. We will hear about how he sailed to Iona, and how after his death, pilgrimage to Iona increased and kings wished to buried on the sacred Island.

Exploring Yorkshire and the Peak District, many of our groups stay at recently renovated Whirlow Grange from where LTG has organised special Christmas groups, explorations of the Peak District National Park and week-long rambling tours.

Our programmes are varied and exciting and can be explored further below. If you would like to join any of these groups, please download one of our booking forms or get in touch on: 01992 579697. If you would like to discuss planning your own parish group, then do contact us and let us add our knowledge and insight, and help bring it to life.
